World 2nd Highest Paragliding Spot
Bir Billing is a village located in the west of Joginder Nagar Valley in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Bir Billing is the world’s second-highest spot for paragliding. Bir is a place of Tibetans refugees settlement with several Monasteries. Bir was managed by the Pal Dynasty of the Chandarvanshi lineage. The last Raja was Raizada Prithi Pal, who was a relative of the Rajas of Bhangahal, who seem to have kept up their privileges until the hour of Raja Prithi Pal in the early piece of the eighteenth century. The Bir-Billing area is a popular site for paraglider pilots, both Indians, and visitors from all over the world. The flying season is from March to July and September to October, with some flying also done in November. Bir Billing continues to host periodic international competitions and events.
